4-D Printers?
As a promise of 3-D printers has reached the national agenda, some scientists decided to raise the stakes.  4-D printers are currently in development, adding a new twist to printing. Now the time element has been added, instead of printing plain static objects things you print have the capability of transforming into other things once printed. View the video below for an example by M.I.T. researcher Skylar Tibbits.

As you can see the straight line transformed into the acronym M.I.T.

China Denies Army's Participation in Cyber Attacks

Recently, an American security company has accused the P.L.A unit in Shanghai (one of the most aggressive computer hacking operations in the world) of waging cyber warfare against U.S. corporations. However, Geng Yansheng (spokesman for China's ministry of National Defense) has denied any connections between the army and  the accusations of U.S. corporations. In fact he claims that China too has been a target of these attacks. Chinese officials have insisted that China has been a major target of recent cyber attacks.

Do Now 2/19

Law
If I were to start a new class in this high school it'd be studying law, and court cases. I find it difficult to know law in and out so I believe anyone should start as early as possible, that's why I would want a high school class offering courses in law. Aside from having charm and sternness, a good lawyer certainly needs to know the American court system. That's exactly what I'd teach in this class, which I'd run from 12 pm to 130 am. Lawyers earn a very high pay on an average of $113,130 making this a very reasonable career choice. I'd simulate fake court cases within the classroom (I'd be the judge, set the charges, and distribute evidence) the class would be graded on how well they behaved and how they used the evidence and their knowledge of law.

Obama Issues an Executive Order Against Cyber threats
“Now our enemies are also seeking the ability to sabotage our power grid, our financial institutions, and our air traffic control systems"

"We cannot look back years from now and wonder why we did nothing in the face of real threats to our security and our economy.”
                                                                                         - Barrack Obama

Obama has issued a new executive order which will promote cyber security. The order consists of recommendations from cyber security experts to companies and will define the government's part in cyber security. However the executive order will not include what cyber security experts most recommend, a minimal safety requirement. Most security software companies use is massively outdated, but this action would require congressional approval.

Bread & Milk

Over the Weekend I got the Bread and Milk
They said snow... My parents told me to get the bread and milk. Well, I'm not responsible so I never did go out to buy anything. So when i was questioned about the bread and milk this was all I could come up with. I'm now grounded... Enjoy!

Huawei 4Afrika
In a world of a growing smart phone industry, Microsoft unites with Huawei, China to make a new smartphone. The phone is called Huawei 4Afrika and is being sold to several different African countries at a set price of $150.
This project can finally bring the ever growing smartphone industry of the 21st century to Africa. And with Microsoft being such a small player in the smartphone business, they need as much help as they could get. The phone will run windows 8 software and compared to the other $600 smartphones is actually quite affordable.
